Why it works

The right fix for the actual problem

Not every crack means the concrete is finished, and not every repair is worth doing. We look at what caused the damage, then match the fix to it so you are not paying to patch concrete that needs replacing, or replacing concrete that just needed leveling.

1
Crack repair that holdsWe clean and fill cracks with materials that flex and bond, so water stops getting in and freeze-thaw stops prying the crack wider.
2
Resurfacing worn concreteA bonded overlay over sound concrete restores a smooth, even surface without the cost of tear-out and a full new pour.
3
Leveling sunken slabsWe lift settled slabs back to grade by filling the void underneath, ending trip hazards and low spots that pond water.

Repairs that make sense, not just more concrete

Honest repair-or-replace advice

We tell you when a repair will genuinely last and when the concrete is too far gone to be worth patching. Either way you get the straight story.

We fix the cause, not just the crack

Settling, poor drainage, or a failed base will crack new patchwork too. We address why it failed so the repair actually holds.

Clean, matched finish

We work to blend repairs and overlays with the surrounding concrete so the fix looks intentional, not like an obvious patch.

The difference

When is concrete worth repairing instead of replacing?

Repair makes sense when the concrete is structurally sound and the problem is on the surface or limited to cracks and settling: a slab that sank but is otherwise solid, a surface worn by salt, or cracks that have not shattered the slab into pieces. Replacement is the smarter spend when the base has failed, the slab is broken up, or the concrete is spalling all the way through. We look at the cause before we recommend the fix.

You get a written, itemized quote and a plain recommendation. We are glad to save you money with a repair that lasts, and we will tell you honestly when patching would just be throwing good money after bad.

How it works

How we handle your repair

01

Assess the damage

We look at the cracks, settling, or surface wear and figure out what caused it, whether it is drainage, a failed base, or freeze-thaw.

02

Recommend repair or replace

We give you a straight answer on whether a repair will hold or whether replacement is the better long-term value, with the price for each.

03

Do the fix

We clean and fill cracks, level sunken slabs, or apply a bonded overlay, addressing the cause so the repair lasts.

04

Blend and seal

We finish the repair to match the surrounding concrete and, where it helps, seal the surface to slow future freeze-thaw damage.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Should I repair or replace my cracked concrete?

It depends on what caused the cracking and how far it has gone. If the slab is still solid and the base under it is intact, crack repair or resurfacing usually makes sense. If the concrete is broken into pieces, spalling through, or sitting on a failed base, replacement is the better spend. We assess the cause and tell you honestly which way to go.

Can you fix a sunken driveway or walkway slab?

Often, yes. If a slab has settled but is otherwise sound, we can lift it back to grade by filling the void underneath, which is faster and less expensive than tear-out and replacement. If the slab itself is broken up, replacement is the better option, and we will say so.

What causes concrete to flake and pit at the surface?

That surface damage is usually spalling, driven by de-icing salt and freeze-thaw working on a surface that was not sealed or was finished poorly. If the spalling is shallow and the slab is sound, resurfacing with a bonded overlay can restore it. Deep spalling that reaches the reinforcement usually means replacement.

Will a crack repair just crack again?

Not if the cause is addressed. A crack over a slab that keeps moving because of poor drainage or a failed base will reopen no matter what you fill it with. We look at why it cracked, fix what we can, and use flexible, bonding repair materials so the fix holds through the freeze-thaw cycle.

Does resurfacing hold up in Ohio winters?

A properly bonded overlay over sound concrete holds up well when it is sealed and maintained. The key is that the concrete underneath is solid and the surface is prepped so the overlay bonds. Over a slab that is already failing, resurfacing only hides the problem for a while, so we check the base first.
