Need concrete work done right around Dayton?

Do you want a patio that looks like stone without the price of pavers?
Tired of weeds and shifting joints in a paver or flagstone patio?
Not sure which pattern or color fits your house?
Worried a stamped surface gets too slick when wet?
Want a patio finished and sealed before the season?
Concerned a decorative pour will crack through an Ohio winter?
Why stamped

One solid slab, the look of many stones

Stamped concrete is pressed with textured mats while the pour is still workable, then colored to mimic stone, slate, or brick. You get the high-end look without the joints, weeds, and shifting that come with individual pavers.

1
No joints to weed or shiftIt is one continuous slab, so there are no paver gaps for weeds to grow or sand to wash out.
2
Color worked into the surfaceIntegral color and release agents give depth and variation that read like natural stone, not painted concrete.
3
Reinforced and sealedPoured over a compacted base with wire mesh or rebar, then sealed to resist freeze-thaw and staining.

Why homeowners choose us

A stamped patio that lasts past the first winter

Timing the stamp

Stamping only works in a short window as the concrete sets. We time it so the pattern reads crisp and even.

Grip added to the seal

We can add a non-slip additive to the sealer so a stamped surface is not slick around a patio or steps.

Joints placed to control cracks

Control joints are cut into the pattern so the slab cracks where we want it to, not across your design.

The difference

Stamped concrete or pavers for a patio?

Pavers look great on day one, but each one can shift, settle, and let weeds through the joints, and re-leveling them is ongoing work. A stamped patio is a single reinforced slab, so there is nothing to shift and no joints to weed. It gives you the same stone or brick look with far less upkeep.

The tradeoff is that stamped concrete needs resealing every few years to keep its color and water resistance, and a repair blends less invisibly than swapping a single paver. We will walk you through patterns, colors, and sealing so you know exactly what the finish looks like and what upkeep it takes before you commit.

How it works

From pattern choice to a sealed patio

01

Pick pattern and color

We go over stone, slate, and brick patterns and color options, then quote the patio in writing.

02

Prep and pour

The base is compacted, forms are set, and we pour a reinforced slab with integral color.

03

Stamp the surface

As the concrete sets, we press the textured mats and apply release for depth and pattern.

04

Cure and seal

Control joints are cut, the slab cures, and we seal it, with a non-slip additive if you want it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is stamped concrete cheaper than pavers?

Usually yes. Stamped concrete typically costs less than a paver patio of the same size and gives a similar stone or brick look, with less long-term maintenance since there are no joints to re-level or weed.

Does a stamped patio crack in Ohio winters?

Any concrete can crack, which is why we pour over a compacted base, reinforce the slab, and cut control joints into the pattern so cracking happens at the joints. Air-entrained mix and sealing help it handle freeze-thaw.

Is stamped concrete slippery when wet?

It can be smoother than pavers, so for patios and steps we add a non-slip additive to the sealer. That keeps the decorative look while giving you better traction in rain and snow.

How often do I need to reseal it?

Plan on resealing every two to three years in this climate to keep the color rich and the surface water-resistant. We will tell you what to watch for and can handle the resealing.
